Julie first discovered the benefits of pilates while majoring in Ballet Performance at the University of Utah. Pilates is the perfect compliment to dance education because of its focus on lengthening muscles and practicing proper form and posture. After graduating with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2003, Julie moved to California to dance with San Diego Ballet. Shortly thereafter, she began work in a physical therapy clinic and was introduced to STOTT PILATES® as a form of exercise rehabilitation. She instantly knew she wanted to become a certified instructor. Julie received her certification from STOTT PILATES® in 2006 and is continuing her education through ongoing course work and workshops. She truly believes in the power of pilates for overall fitness, injury prevention, and improved body awareness as we learn to carry the STOTT PILATES® principles with us through our everyday lives.

Holding a Bachelors Degree in Communications, Angie's initial career path included public relations and event planning. However, she has always believed people can and should re-create themselves. While working to get back in shape after giving birth to twins, she was inspired by several group fitness instructors and decided to try teaching. For the past three years she has worked as an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor in the corporate health and fitness centers of Union Pacific Railroad, First National Bank and ConAgra Foods in Omaha, Nebraska. While leading classes, she found her true passion - Pilates. Her experience in group exercise has allowed her to develop her skills designing challenging workouts while at the same time offering a comfortable learning environment for newcomers. She is sincerely interested in helping each participant in her classes reach his or her goals. She feels strongly that STOTT PILATES® is a program from which anyone can greatly benefit throughout their life. She is currently continuing her education and working toward becoming a fully certified instructor.
